Day ten

Some of us went to watch the Argentina game at 10am. We found a coffee shop on the main strip. Yah - ARGENTINA! Good win with a Messi goal.... finally! The rest of the group went to check out some site seeing. We all met up at Canyonlands. Very cool sites to see! Check out our nice group shot below. Then some went to the grocery store and some went to the pool at the rv park.

Day nine

Today we left for Moab in the morning. On our way out of Capitol Reef we saw some petroglyphs. We are still in Utah. It took a few hours to get to Moab. After check in we went to the downtown area and found a place to eat lunch and to watch the Swiss play! Then off to the park to see the great sites. The arches were pretty amazing! I think I got a bunch of grey hairs because Alex, Nicho and Lucas were climbing daring heights with sharp edges and big drops. At the end of the day, we went back to the rv park and had a light dinner, some showered and did laundry. We have not had these luxery's for a few days!

Day eight

We had no coverage all day so this blog is a day late….

This morning we got up to watch the sunrise at Bryce Canyon around 5:15 am. It was such a site. We took a walking trail through the canyon walls. It was so amazing and hard to describe. Maybe the pictures can help a bit. After the great morning, we started our 3-hour drive to Capitol Reef National Park. When we arrived we took a short break and then started to go in to the park. We made it to a great spot called Capitol Gorge where we walked about 4-miles with more spectacular sites. The kids spent the walk looking for geodes. You can see how they look like cool crystals inside when you break them open. When we got back to the campsite, we relaxed, ate and went to a ranger talk. At the talk she gave us a good history of the early settlers of Capitol Reef.

Day seven

Today we left for Bryce Canyon after breakfast. Right away some of us went for a horse back ride to see the woods and part of Bryce Canyon (Mark, Aidan, Joe, Brenda, Nicho, Alex). Audrey, Ella and Shelley went for a horse wagon ride. We saw each other out near the canyon so that was pretty cool. Lance and Kurt rented bikes. John, Brad, Lance and Brian hung out at camp and went to the pool. We all got together after and went to dinner. And then off to the Canyon to see it at sunset!
