Day five

This morning the Pork Chop RV started to move at 4:30 in the morning. Brad drove us to the Grand Canyon Park so we could see the sunrise! It was surreal to wake up, get out of the rv and see an amazing site. The pictures did not really capture what we were seeing. We went back to the camp and then started our drive out of the park. We passed even more amazing views of the canyon. We also had a "must do" stop - Horseshoe Bend. It was magic and scary! My camera was not working so I have to get pics from John to post. Hopefully tomorrow! After that,  we ended up at Lake Powell - our next destination for a 2-night stay. The air was warm and extremely windy. We found out that with our RV reservation we had access to the resort. So that is where we spent the rest of our day until sunset. We were able to watch the US WIN on a TV there!! So everyone was happy. Then we were at the pool until the end of the day. The sunset was very pretty as advertised. We had a big view of Lake Powell and more canyons. Then back to camp to make some dinner. Tomorrow we rent a house boat and spend the day on the beautiful lake!
